What is Post-Partum Depression?
The birth of a baby can trigger a jumble of powerful emotions, ranging from excitement to fear and anxiety. It can also cause depression.
A lot of new mothers experience postpartum "baby blues" after childbirth. These symptoms typically set in right after the baby is born and can last more than a year. Symptoms include:
- Mood swings
- Crying spells
- Anxiety or panic attacks
- Difficulty sleeping
- Irritability
- Sadness or hopelessness
- Frequent crying
Current Clinical Trial
At Quantum Clinical Trials, we are offering a clinical study involving an oral medication to treat post-partum depression in women who gave birth within the last 12 months.
A stipend of $75 per visit and $75 for babysitting may be provided for your participation in the study. This medical study is being conducted in our Boynton and Pompano offices.
